His Heart

A song that was played during last Sunday’s service has been weighing upon me. Our Worship Leader danced in praise to God while this song played out and the Holy Spirit was ministering to me during the praise. Actually, this ministering has been going on since Sunday and while this has continued… I’ve been under attack from the enemy. No surprise, he’ll do all he can to hinder or stop God’s work.

So yesterday I sent out a prayer request to close friends basically giving them the “code word” that I’m in need of coverage and intercession type prayer due to the battle I’m in. This keeps the text message very short and no need for explanation… they know what to pray about and I also know the Holy Spirit will move them. There have been times some of my friends were ALREADY prompted by the Holy Spirit to pray and when my text hit their phone, it was only confirming what was placed in their heart to pray about concerning me.

I’m given a breather today from this battle, so I write… last Sunday I was sitting on the altar of our church due to an event that Sunday and I was able to look out into the faces of all those in the congregation. While the song played and while our Worship Leader praise danced, I was led to look out at one specific person in the congregation. This person is blind and as I listened to the words of this song, “When the world looks at me, I pray all they see, Is my heart looks like Your heart, my heart looks like Your heart”

Well… from my usual spot behind the congregation each Sunday, I look at this person and I see them praising God through their dancing, clapping and lifting up of hands during worship. Last Sunday, as I was looking out from the altar, I forced myself to hold back the tears as I looked at this person’s face while they listened to the song being played. They could not see the praise dance but I know that in their heart, they and the Worship Leader were in the same Spirit!

Let me say… your heart LOOKS LIKE His heart and in the example that God is making through you, I pray others follow!

Here is the song:
