Dear Heavenly Father,

I praise you Lord and place myself before you in seeking your comfort and peace.

Lord, I lift up to you the son of a friend of mine. Today this young man will enter military service and I ask for your protection to rain down on him. As you have opened this door for him, he has stepped through in obedience and I ask Lord that you lead Him always. Enable him to serve his country proficiently as a soldier and also continue to serve you as a warrior.

Lord, peace be upon his family. The peace that only you can give where comfort is only a word we use but to truly describe the peace you offer, no words can explain.

Lord, shine your light through this young man on those who serve with him and also as he is sent to other parts of the world, allow your light to shine bright where there is darkness.

Enable him Lord, enable him to do his job effectively, never any fear in the face of the enemy both physical and spiritual. Enable him to call on and seek Jesus at all times cause even when we are tired, we are strong through Christ!

I pray this Lord, in Jesus Christ's name, Amen!
